Julia Zueva and Alexey Barbolin have been dancing together since 1998. Two years later they had already founded “Tangomania”, the first tango club in St. Petersburg, and since 2004 they are the Buenos Aires representatives of the National Tango Academy in Russia.

Both studied with the top names in Buenos Aires. In 2005 and 2006 they were the Russian Masters in Tango Salon, and during the World Championship they reached the final in the category Tango Salon. Each year they organise the large tango festival “White Nights” in St. Petersburg. 

Their dancing is renowned for its depth of expression and their understanding of the tango. They teach not only in St. Petersburg, but throughout all of Russia and in Germany, USA, Hungary and Scandinavia. A speciality of the couple is the Canyengue, which they dance together very intimately – most recently at the famous festival in Wuppertal.

In the classes they place emphasis on the connection of the couple, the embrace and the musical sense.  As passionate instructors, they love to teach. They incorporate a lot of knowledge about the kinetics of the body into their workshop-activities.

They speak good English.
